Commercialism and Urban international culture have forced the less materialistic, more intuitive cultures -and their manners of living- out of the forefront and into the periphery. The disorientation of world society has been the outcome. This page shall be an attempt to provide a counter-perspective to that ethic. wilderness survival schools

  firearms
Using firearms is a bit like driving a automobile. You gotta know how to make productive use of the machine, know how to maintain it, properly store it, and know the difference between responsible use and reckless behaviors.
I certainly don't agree with the idea that everybody should have automatic weapons stockpiled under their beds. I do believe, however, that some folks are just plain irrational about firearms.

survivalists
When I first started this section, I'd thought I'd find many informative sites. Regrettably, most of what I found were con artists selling dehydrated apples and Y2K fearmongers. The sites that got listed, even if they are selling things (nothing wrong with a free market economy) also have useful info on their sites. BUT, the authors are not always taciturn, and some of the sites are a challenge to use. Still worth the visits.
