queer bohemia || Pete from Providence, maintains a discussion group of some quality, and of managable size || The focus is twofold: first, on the direction of that visual arts is taking and, second, on various aspects of what it means to be queer in this day and age, defining queer culture and reflections on society as it perceives these issues || I find the dialogue refresing and have already spoken on two points that are talked about; the first on the USA pop culture tv show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"The second posting is on the "future" of art. Actually, this is less an essay than my thoughts and comments || You can also find those postings in this site in the diary/essays section ...or go directly to them by clicking on queer eye or future of art
Clarke Lane/Pete/Philip that's his picture on the right >> or above ^^
halliburton hits home || The London based Financial Times posted an article on 7 aug 03 about my friend David Scott's law firm Scott + Scott which could result in Tricky Dick Cheney being named as a defendant in the accounting fraud lawsuit against Halliburton Oil || The firm, as one of the lead law firms in the suit in a Dallas, Texas court, is not accepting a $6 million [US Dollars] settlement in the fraud scheme that probably cost taxpayers and shareholders billions in losses || Already there are rumblings from the pundits wondering whether or not people can go after a standing vice president for past improprities, but if my memory serves me right, Spiro Agnew already established that precedent || and, well, impeachment is always an idea, isn't it || If we can impeach a guy for lying about semen stains, why not accounting fraud as well? || Just wondering || The article on the FT site is restricted (paid subscribers only)
Dubya: The Action Figure I know, just when you thought it was safe ta go to Toys'R'USA comes this new thingy from KayBee Toys|| None other than the Dubya figher doll || So when is the draft dodger coward doll coming out, or at theas the AWOL National Guard uniform ?I realize that my irreverence may shock and disturb some more reverential folks out there, but...oh well || Did I say something about impeachment? Not for this, obviously, but, maybe there's a reason out there somewhere ||
ABOUT THE "PIX OF THE DAY": Each "day" I present a new image from my own work. The image may or may not be relevant to the text the is next to it. The purpose is more to show off my work | Hope you like them |
