Amazon Trips are no ordinary experience. You must be prepared. When coming with us we need to know in advance about a couple of things including:

Your present physical health, whether you take medications (and what they are) food allergies and such.

We meet in Miami, Florida. Our tour price ensures that from that point on, all expenses are covered including: transportation, lodging, food & drink, laundry, luggage handling, tips, taxes and the services of our staff.

An Introduction by Christian Miller
v Thanks for visiting our website. If you’re here, no doubt you’ve look at other trips offered on the Peruvian Amazon already and may still be looking for something different from a conventional tourist riverboat trip. You’ve come to the right place. What we offer is a real adventure.

How did The Wild Mushroom Traveling Show get started?

v We began our forays over 20 years ago when my husband Gerry started leading trips in the Peruvian Amazon, visiting remote tribes, collecting and identifying rare and unknown species of fungi and medicinal plants. We’ve been conducting the tours longer than almost anyone else.

What can I expect while on an Amazon Foray?
v We avoid areas where other tours go, and we take you to places where even we have never been before. We really explore entirely new areas. We visit tribal people who have never seen outsiders before. There are other boat trips but they go to set places with the same "stops" every trip.

v We have 3 all-night medicine ceremonies each week in the virgin forest underneath huge powerful medicine trees, chanting shamans calling in beneficial jungle spirits

v …And we do all this while enjoying a rather civilized life on board our triple-decker mahogany riverboat. Candlelight dinners, choice Peruvian wines and beer, private cabins, rooftop hammocks and motorized canoes are all provided to make your excursion one of luxury amid one of the world’s remaining wilderness regions.

v Compared to other tours offered, which take you to a lodge in the jungle where you stay for the duration of your trip, we travel every day through totally new areas meeting and visiting with new people, giving you a full wilderness expedition experience. Other trips may seem to be less expensive, but on other tours, once enroute, you'll find that many other costs were not included. With the Wild Mushroom Traveling Roadshow's tours, everything is included.

Who serves on the Amazon Foray Crew?

v The Crew is comprised of Gerry and Christian Miller, our native crew and gourmet chefs and 3 or 4 native Amazonian Shamans.
