Some of the resources you read about here you can only reach by phone, by writing to them, or even traveling to where they are.

| this site's point of view is shaped by many things |

things you'll find

I don't always agree with the content of some websites I've linked to but they make me think harder
as long as one person suffers in poverty, that immense personal wealth is unjust
  Aldo Leopold
When the land does well for its owner, and the owner does well by his land — when both end up better by reason of their partnership—then we have conservation
  Dwight Eisenhower
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.
  Albert Einstein
The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them
In times such as these, we need to pay homage to the Great Spirit, in whatever form one recognizes. This helps in all of us staying healthy

    what motivates my content

Mid 20th century working class American by birth
    I’m a father and a grandfather
I've never known what it's like not to be able to draw
Prefer life as uncomplicated as possible
Vocation # 1: Patients’ Rights Advocate at a state-run psychiatric facility
    Vocation # 2: Graphic Arts | Illustration | Design | Calligrapher | Essayist
Avocation/Interests: Historic Preservation & Community Planning
Decentralist yet global in orientation and thought
I support and favor firearms ownership, hunting, fishing, trapping
and what I think of as "modern aboriginal culture"
We are but tenants here on Earth
Progressive/leftist political orientation (yeah, I know it isn’t fashionable)
IQ Eligible for MENSA but not likely to join
for that matter, I'm not much of a joiner, yet neither do I isolate myself
A quiet roughneck, I feel free to speak my mind
and oh – I’m gay, to boot (so get over it already)

    other caveats

Remember this is a personal website || I choose what goes up here and what does not || If there is something on the site ~that I created and put up~ of which you have a concern or interest ~ ask me about it || If I have made use of some image or text found yet whose authorship I do not know, let me know and I'll add suitable recognition || If I have personally posted something inaccurate or unclear, I want to know and can correct it || On the other hand, if there's something that just doesn't meet your personal tastes, then move along to something else || Make your own page to promote what you wish || |

There are many links around the site that other people created | Once you've gone to those pages, their links and pages I do not control | Some may be graphics, sound or animation intensive | Some may contain material you think to be controversial or objectionable | Please don't send me e-mail to question or complain about those other sites.

This is a dynamic site, ever growing and constantly changing | It is also larger than it may appear and I don't get to every page or section all the time | SO, if you find any inactive links or have constructive suggestions to improve the content of any of my pages, please e-mail me at wbrady@rondak.org.

    nametag design notes

You won't find animated imagery, live chat, video clips or music here | The objective is focus on the content | Trained as a typesetter, using "hot type" (hence the inclusion of the pica gauge on the right) I learned graphihs the hard way | Went from there to computerized typography on old data tapes | When finally getting to use HTML code, it was easy | I did not use FrontPage, PageMill, HotDog or any other fancy help-me-out software (though I am certain they would have saved me some time) | This site was set in HTML using MSDOS and Notepad | This is not because I am smarter or a supergeek | It just is ~and I have more control of the site's appearance | Suggestions on improving thumbnails or technical fine-tuning ideas are welcome |

Typefaces used include Arial, Arial Black and Times New Roman families |
Testing of the site was done using different versions of Netscape, IE , OPERA as well as reviewing it through AOL and WebTV screens | Not all Browsers read this page the same way | Personally, while I found OPERA to be less forgiving of coding errors, the page looks cleaner typographically than on other Browsers | Write me if you have trouble reading the page |
